LIO Beardsley

Describe herself as 'new age Buddhist', 'full-time dreamer', 'animals lover', illustrator Lio Beardsley chose to name after Aubrey Beardsley for his intricate paintings. When Lio studied at the States, she loves to visit local second-handed bookstores and has collected many cartoonists' books from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s - her favorite time period - when she finds the funny, the flowery, the hippy, and the happy and where she is always dreams of going back in time to befriend the cartoonists who depict their day-to-day vignettes in a light and humorous manner.

Lio collects dollies, vintage-goodies, and cartoon books. She was a photography graduate at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
