WU Wing Yee

As a painter and sculpture artist, Hong Kong born Wu Wing Yee works with different media - pastel, painting, ceramics and a wide variety of material in her sculptural installation work.

Wu graduated from the California College of Arts & Crafts in Ceramic Art and Painting, received the Edward Youde Memorial Fund scholarship to further her art studies in Arts Administration and Education from Columbia University. Back in Hong Kong, Wu engages in full-time creative work, founding her own workshop to promote ceramics art education for children. In 2000, she won the Golden Award for Chinese contemporary young ceramicist presented by the Guangdong Museum of Art in China.

Since 1986, Wu has had several solo exhibitions and participated in many group shows in Hong kong, China, USA and Canada. Her Paintings and ceramic work have been acquired by various museums and private collections. Wu lives in Hong Kong.
