It all begins with a sturdy, sun-resistant, water-proof, and foldable material with a basic pattern and colour scheme. Multi-functional and flexible. Simple and practical. Construction sites use it extensively; street market vendors use it as awning for their stalls or or canvas sheets for fresh produce; common folks use it for portable carrying bags. Because of its practicality and transportability, redwhiteblue travels far and wide.

redwhiteblue: here/there/everywhere is artist and designer Stanley Wong's (a.k.a anothermountainman's) celebration of this simple material. It comes with two volumes in a chic redwhiteblue bag. Volume I traces the origin, history, manufacturing, production, and common applications of the redwhiteblue materials; Volume II features over 25 artists, designers, architects and design educators’ visual re-interpretations of redwhiteblue.

Wong’s redwhiteblue first appeared as an installation at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and was later developed into a poster series entitled RedWhiteBlue: To the Infinity for the museum.
