Maggie Chau Yee-mei grew up in Sham Shui Po. She was one of the key figures who spoke for the Sham Shui Po community during the district demolition period. She used illustrations and text to document stories as well as to build up strong bonds in the community.   Chau graduated from the School of Design, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and is currently Visiting Lecturer. She has been involved in social movements concerning the preservation of local communities and local farming industry. From 2011 to 2013, she documented stories with elderly people in hospitals. 


周綺薇在深水埗長大,2005 年,市區重建局的推土機開到她的老家,她眼看街坊不明不白地被驅趕、控告,便決定要為自己長大的社區做一點事。她以圖畫和文字記錄故事,凝聚、勉勵街坊柔靭地抗爭,復以故事形式將四年來跟街坊一起走過的這段日子寫成《推土機前種花》,讓讀者思考:我們想在一個怎樣的城市過怎樣的生活。 周綺薇畢業於香港理工大學設計學院,現任該校客席講師。多年來參與守護本土社區及農業等社會運動。2011-2013年,日間遊走於醫院病床之間,記錄住院長者的生活故事。
