Born in Israel, fashion designer and milliner Shlomit Yaish began her career apprenticed to the Head Designer of Elie Tahari in New York. She arrived in Japan in 2003 to join the team at Grace Hats of Tokyo/Hong Kong/Seoul/New York, where she designed hats for their biannual collections. Her original designs are regularly featured on TV and in magazines, such as Accessories, Boon, Elle, Glitter, J. Select, Jillie, Looks, The Marker, Mina, Popeye and SO EN. Yaish was trained at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, where she received a grant from the America Israel Cultural Foundation as an upcoming designer. Currently she lives in Tokyo and works as a Fashion, Lifestyle & Wellness consultant.
